The Scholarship Wizard is a user-friendly portal built for scholarship providers and high school counselors who manage local scholarship programs. The Scholarship Wizard:
Nope – it’s completely FREE! There’s no cost for counselors, scholarship providers, or scholarship applicants.
Simply register on the Manage Your Local Scholarship Program on Going Merry form, and we'll grant you access to the portal!
First, have your students create a Going Merry account. Once they fill out their profile, they’ll get matched to local scholarships.
Additionally, you can make a custom scholarship list to share with them! In your Going Merry account, navigate to the “Scholarships” section of the Menu and select “My scholarship list.” You can browse and add any scholarships directly to your custom list and share it with your students. Or, in your provider account, navigate to the Menu and select “Share Scholarships.” This will allow you to add a widget for your scholarships to your counseling website.
You can still list scholarships that require paper applications on Going Merry. There are two ways to do this:
No, students outside your school or district cannot see or apply for the scholarships you’ve added unless you choose to make them public. The default setting ensures that only your students can access these opportunities, maintaining exclusivity for your school's applicants.
As a counselor, you receive data on your students’ scholarship applications, including which scholarships they have applied for, the status of their applications, and any awards they have received. This information helps you track their progress and offer additional support if needed.
Inviting other members is easy! To invite others to help manage your program's scholarships and review applications, go to your counselor dashboard and select "Manage Admins & Reviewers." From there, you can invite colleagues by entering their email addresses and assigning them appropriate roles. They will receive an invitation to join and access the necessary tools to assist with the process.
