The Lisa Michelle Memorial Fund Scholarship offers educational scholarships to students who have lost a parent/guardian, grandparent, sibling, or spouse to alcohol, drug, or prescription drug abuse. Applicants must be legal US citizens, must be enrolled in a college or university in the United States, must have a 3.0 minimum grade point average, and must have had a parent or guardian who passed away due to substance abuse.
A Heroes Family Scholarship
Award Amount: $1,000
Provider: First Responders Family Foundation
As one small way to help the families of first responders, the A Heroes Family Scholarship exists to provide financial support for a student who has lost a parent or spouse to an on-duty tragedy of a first responder. This includes those in law enforcement, fire, or the military. Applicants must have lost a parent/guardian or spouse in the line of duty, including those in law enforcement, fire, or the military.
WonderMom Scholarship
Award Amount: Up to $2,000
Provider: MyOrganicCompany
MyOrganicCompany is devoted to giving back by giving high school seniors and college students a chance to earn a scholarship. The MyOrganicCompany Scholarship will be awarded to one college student and one high school senior/ recent graduate every 6 months. Applicants must be a US citizen or permanent legal resident and must be a single parent or child of a single parent.
For A Bright Future – The Single Parent Household Scholarship
Award Amount: Up to $10,000
Provider: For A Bright Future
The Single Parent Household Scholarship gives preference to underrepresented, underprivileged, and exceptional students raised in a single-parent household or students who are single parents themselves. The amount a scholarship awardee receives will be at the organization’s discretion. The average award amount is $2,500. The maximum amount is $10,000. Applicants must be a minority graduating high school senior or current college student, reside and study in the United States, have a 3.0 GPA, and must be pursuing a STEM degree.
