1. Willa S. Bellamy Scholarship
Provider: Government Finance Officers Association of South Carolina
Amount: Up to $2,000
The Government Finance Officers Association of South Carolina (GFOASC) is a non-profit organization that promotes the professional development of its members by providing a forum for the exchange of information related to all aspects of government finance, and by recommending and supporting improvements to the financial administration of all governmental units in South Carolina.
By establishing and awarding the Willa S. Bellamy Scholarship, the GFOASC provides financial assistance to students seeking to enter the field of government finance.
2. Presidents High School Student Scholarship
Provider: Government Finance Officers Association of South Carolina
Amount: $1,250
By establishing and awarding the Presidents High School Student Scholarship, the GFOASC provides financial assistance to a student in a high school.
3. Harry Hampton Wildlife Fund Scholarship
Provider: Hampton Wildlife Fund
Amount: Up to $20,000
In a commitment to promote higher education in the natural resources area in South Carolina, the Board of Directors of the Hampton Fund in 1992 established the scholarship program. The Harry Hampton Wildlife Fund Scholarship consists of a $5,000* scholarship awarded annually to an S.C. resident student to attend an institution of higher learning in the state with a major area of study in wildlife, fisheries, forestry, biology, zoology, marine science, environmental science or related fields.
4. Emily & Hugh Kendrick Family Scholarship
Provider: The Pest Management Foundation
Amount: Up to $1,000
The Emily & Hugh Kendrick Family Scholarship is designed to be awarded to a student from one of the Kendrick Families home states of Georgia (Emily Thomas Kendrick) or Wyoming (Hugh Cumming Kendrick), or from their adopted state of Colorado. “We remain bullish about the future growth of this great Industry and we’re committed to the development of the next generation of pest management professionals through the support of students pursuing higher education.”
5. South Carolina Workforce Scholarships for the FutureSouth Carolina Federal Credit Union Scholarship
Provider: SC Technical College System
Amount: Varies to Full Cost of Tuition
Workforce Scholarships for the Future will cover tuition and required fees at the state’s sixteen technical colleges for South Carolina residents enrolled in a high-demand field such as manufacturing, healthcare, computer science and information technology, transportation, distribution and logistics or construction.
