State and Local Scholarships

State and local scholarships usually attract fewer applicants, which means you have a higher chance of winning them. Here are just a sample of the scholarships offered in your home state.

Scholarships by State

Check out just some of the state scholarships available to you on Going Merry below.

Remember: You can browse the full collection of state-specific scholarships by signing up for Going Merry. Since you're more than your home state, we'll also ask you fill out a brief profile to match you to other college scholarships that you qualify for, based on reasons other than state. Best of all, you'll be able to apply for some of these scholarships directly on our website, using nifty auto-filled forms.

Your state not linked yet?

Don't worry! We've got state and local scholarships for every one of the 50 states. We just haven't yet created a specific list for your state yet. Sign up to see your matched scholarships.

Don't forget about federal and state financial aid!

We've linked to some independent scholarships available for each state-- but remember that you'll also want to fill out your FAFSA form to get government grants too.

Local Scholarships & High School Scholarships

Your school can host any of its scholarships online on Going Merry. This will make it easier for you to apply, especially if you want to apply to several of them. Ask your high school counselor to submit the scholarships to Going Merry. Or sign up to see if your school has already uploaded its scholarships. (Already 6000+ high school counselors are on Going Merry, and many of them administer their local scholarships on our platform!)

Here's what it would look like if your school did host on Going Merry (this is what some Nevada students might see):
