The Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship is a one-time $2,500 award given to three students who are in financial need and who have been accepted or are currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing.

Stephanie Carroll Scholarship

The Stephanie Carroll Scholarship was established in memory of Stephanie Carroll, long-time valued NADONA employee. The scholarship is awarded to a nursing student enrolled in an accredited nursing program who has chosen Long-Term Care or Geriatrics as their practice area after graduation.

Healthcare Leaders Scholarship

The Healthcare Leaders Scholarship is offered to students entering or currently pursuing an educational program related to nursing or medicine. Applicant must be a US citizen, at least 17 years of age, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

AvaCare Medical Scholarship

Every year ExploreMedicalCareers.com offers the Explore Medical Careers Scholarship to three students attending universities, colleges, and other academic and non-academic institutions across the U.S. on their way to becoming medical professionals.

Education Award

Amount: $5,000

Provider: Diversity Nursing

DiversityNursing.com was born in 2007 as a Career Job Board and Information Resource for nurses regardless of age, race, gender, religion, education, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, or physical characteristics. Over 17 years later, Diversity Nursing continues to offer its Education Award to students enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing in a professional registered nurse program (baccalaureate, graduate, associate degree or diploma) OR those who work as a Registered Nurse, LPN, Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Leader/Administrator at a U.S. based organization.

Essential Visionaries Scholarship

Amount: Up to $10,000

Provider: Essential Visionaries

The Essential Visionaries Scholarship Fund is awarding approximately 100 renewable scholarships up to $10,000/year for students seeking a degree or certificate in Education, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or Pre-Nursing/Nursing.

Hurst Review – AACN Nursing Scholarship Winter

Amount: $2,500

Provider: American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN)

Hurst Review and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) are partnering to offer this scholarship program that recognizes and rewards entry-level nursing students for outstanding academic performance. All applicants must already be enrolled in an AACN member institution and maintain at least a 3.2 grade point average in their current program or last school attended. One scholarship in the amount of $2,500 will be distributed twice yearly.

Norman C. Nelson IV Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $575

The Norman C. Nelson IV Memorial Scholarship seeks to honor the life of Norman C. Nelson IV by supporting students who are pursuing medical careers. Any high school senior pursuing medicine who has financial need and at least a 3.0 GPA may apply for this scholarship opportunity.

Breanna Coleman Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Amount: $5,000

Provider: The Coleman Family

Breanna Coleman was one of five people lost in a car accident late in the night on June 25th, 2023. Breanna was only 18 years old and had just graduated from Gateway High School, completed her Dual Enrollment requirements, and was set to begin the nursing program at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida, in the Fall. Bre had her whole life ahead of her, and she just wanted to use her career to help people. The Breanna Coleman Memorial Nursing Scholarship seeks to honor the life of Breanna Coleman by supporting students who share her passion for nursing and helping others.

Jennifer D. Hale Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $1,000

Provider: Haley Burrow

Jennifer D. Hale was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She passed away suddenly at the age of fifty-one, leaving behind a legacy of resilience in the face of adversity and service to others. Jennifer was a teenage mother, having her first daughter at age 17. She went on to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing, Healthcare Systems Management and spent more than 16 years in geriatric and hospice nursing. She went on to spend the last 16 years of her career in executive leadership positions in Hospice organizations, ending her career as a Vice President of Clinical and Quality Standards. The Jennifer D. Hale Memorial Scholarship aims to honor the memory of Jennifer D. Hale by supporting students who are pursuing their dreams in the field of nursing.

Evan James Vaillancourt Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $1,200

Provider: Vaillancourt

The Evan James Vaillancourt Memorial Scholarship seeks to honor the life of Evan James Vaillancourt by helping countless others in their pursuit of the Nursing Career that Evan was so excited to begin. Any high school senior who has at least a 3.5 GPA and is pursuing a degree in nursing may apply if they have community service or volunteering experience.

A Nurse I Am Scholarship

Amount: $3,000

Provider: Cherokee Uniforms

In 2007, in order to address the number of nurses leaving the field within their first few years in practice, and to inspire nurses going into the profession, Cherokee Uniforms, a Careismatic Brand, produced two films that shared the same name: A Nurse I Am. Years later, the A Nurse I Am project lives on with the A Nurse I Am Scholarship. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program. Individuals who have been accepted to a nursing program but have not yet started their coursework as of February 1st, will not be eligible to apply.

Provider: The Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association, Inc.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a nursing program leading to an associate degree, baccalaureate, diploma, direct-entry master’s degree, RN to BSN/MSN completion, LPN/LVN to RN, or accelerated programs. FNSNA Scholarship Program awards scholarship funds based on a set of criteria established by the sponsor of the scholarship.

Joseph Joshua Searor Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $1,000

Joseph Joshua Searor was a beloved brother who recently passed away, leaving his family and this world too soon. Joseph was 41 years old and a dedicated nurse. At his age, he was taking the courageous step of returning to school to pursue a master’s degree in nursing in order to become a nurse practitioner. The Joseph Joshua Searor Memorial Scholarship seeks to honor the life of Joseph Joshua Searor by supporting students who share his passion for nursing and education. Any undergraduate, trade school, or graduate student who is pursuing nursing may apply for this scholarship.

Christina Taylese Singh Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $1,000

Provider:  Singh Family

The Christina Taylese Singh Memorial Scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Christina Taylese Singh by supporting students who are following in Christina’s footsteps. Any undergraduate or graduate student who has at least a 3.0 GPA and volunteering experience may apply for this scholarship if they’re studying medicine or healthcare.
