Students who are pursuing a degree in the medical field are eligible for the AvaCare Medical Scholarship worth $1,000 toward college tuition. This scholarship is awarded annually to one submission that tells about an inspiring act of kindness.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or in possession of an Alien Registration Card.
- Applicant must be a high school senior or enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Applicant must be pursuing a degree in the medical field.
2. Healthcare Leaders Scholarship
Amount: $1,500

The Healthcare Leaders Scholarship is offered to students entering or currently pursuing an educational program related to nursing or medicine.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicant must be a US citizen.
- Applicant must be at least 17 years of age.
- Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
3. Explore Medical Careers Scholarship
Amount: Up to $1,500

Every year, ExploreMedicalCareers.com offers three scholarships to students on their way to becoming medical professionals. This scholarship requires applicants to write a 1,000+ word essay titled: “How to remedy the healthcare industry in the United States and provide affordable care.”
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Applicant must pursue a medical-related career.
- Applicant must show proof of enrollment at their current school.
4. Deborah Thomas Scholarship
Amount: $500

This scholarship aims to honor the life of Deborah Thomas by supporting students who are seeking higher education so they have the resources necessary to complete their degrees. When applying to the Deborah Thomas Scholarship, you’ll be asked to explain how you plan to make a positive difference in the world through your career.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicant must be a High School Junior or Senior.
- Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Applicant must study Medicine.
5. Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship
Amount: $1,500
Provider: Michael Moody Fitness
The Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship is a $1,500 college scholarship awarded to a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, participation, and leadership in school activities and work experience, and interest in pursuing a career in health- and fitness-related fields. The student may apply and use the money for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, and board. The program will accept scholarship applications until 1,000 scholarship applications are submitted or until the deadline, whichever comes first.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or legal resident living or claiming residency in one of the 50 United States, Washington, D.C., or Puerto Rico.
- Applicant must be a current high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who plans to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.
- Applicant must demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, and participation and leadership in school activities and work experience.
- Applicant must demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the health and fitness-related fields.
- Applicant must be enrolled in a health-related major.
6. Beacon of Light Scholarship
Amount: $700

The Beacon of Light Scholarship seeks to support students pursuing higher education so they can afford to complete their degrees and make a difference in the health and wellness of others.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicant must be attending a school in the US.
- Applicant must be an undergraduate or high school senior.
- Applicant must be pursuing a degree in medicine.
- Applicant must have non-profit or volunteering experience.
7. Maxwell Tuan Nguyen Memorial Scholarship

9. Headbang For Science Scholarship

Headbang For Science, a 501(c)(3) public charity, is an annual scholarship award for high school seniors, undergrads, and grad students pursuing careers in healthcare and/or the physical sciences that also love heavy metal music. 🤘🎸
